Taking a Break

By which I really mean,  I'll catch up on housework and other stuff I've been putting off,  while only knitting when I have some free time. Like with this hat. Finished the main part, need to add ear flaps, braids and embroider the symbol. But all things in their due time. For now, I'll just say Merry Christmas!

Lego Flash is Coming to Town

Well as you can see he's done. My maths and gauge were a little off on the width,  leaving it 2" shorter than I planned,  but Chris says it's still wide enough, and to tell the truth, my wrist and hand hurt too much to do any more today. Ben is ecstatic. Glad to make my little one happy.
This is the back:

Almost done...

Thought I'd post an update. If I'd worked on this for as long per day as I did the last two days, it would have been done by now. Ah well. Work within your limitations.
I am itching to work on the Argyle blanket, but with Christmas nearly 13 days away, it's best if I focus solely on Ben's blanket. He's getting so excited because he can see I'm near the end. Hope the colors work out well.

Back to Work

Well enough playing around. There are 22 or so more days until Christmas and this blanket must be done on time. I'm all the way up to his symbol now.

I would have finished the symbol tonight, but I had to undo and redo 4 rows, and that's around 45 minutes of work that I have to undo, and then take another 45 minutes to redo it. Not counting the time it took to undo and untangle it all. Irregardless, I didn't get the symbol done yet. But I'm working on it. I'll be busy all day tomorrow, so I won't be working on it until at least Friday if all goes well.

Shhh... Don't Tell Ben

I surreptitiously started on this hat. Someday he might understand, but for now let's keep it on the down-low. (•_<)

I'm listening to my Christmas playlist. Now that it's December, I can pull out all of my Christmas songs and keep them on repeat all month long. It's the only time of year that I actually listen to them.
